La lentezza dello sguardo

The slowness of the gaze

The slowness of the gaze, as Gabriele Basilico once said, is an essential part of my work. Photographing architecture is about space, volume and light. Walking around a building, observing the interaction with its surroundings, the people, understanding its construction or waiting for the sun to highlight fine details with bold shadows before taking a picture.

This selection of photos is more about showing my way of looking than technical perfection. Following the saying “the best equipment of a photographer is his eye” some photos are taken with professional equipment whereas others are taken on film or with a cell phone.

I update this gallery regularly, so feel free to come back at any time. I really appreciate your feedback, comments or just a quick hello.

And YES, I am open to work! If you need photos of your products, company, staff or industrial environment, if you are an architect and need to document your projects or if you have an interesting editorial idea related to urbanism and architecture you can contact me today.
